Hi,

I'm new in BPMN modeler. I know a little a BPMN but I haven't got
opportunity to use it in Eclipse BPMN modeler.
Does anybody know is possible paint flow between two events in two
different pools. I know that possible is paint a flow between two
activities in two different pools. Maybe I do something wrong.

Thank you for any help.

Best regards,
Sara

Sara, you can connect two events with a messaging edge.

Please see the diagram on the STP BPMN website for a visual example:

You can also try out some BPMN sample diagrams:

Thanks,

Antoine

Hi Antoine,

Thanks for your response.
Yes, I saw this examples but I didn't find there any situation like I was
looking for.
In BPMN modeler we can't do something like:
1) Intermediate event in one pool - flow (dashed line) - start event in
second pool
2) Start event in one pool - dashed line - intermediate event in second
pool
3) Start event in one pool - dashed line - end event in second pool, am I
right? I know that this tree situations are consistent with BPM Notation.

BTW. I know that in BPMN modeler we can do something like: End event in
one pool - flow (dashed line) - Start / Intermediate event in in second
pool.

Thanks,
Sara

Sara, only intermediate message events can send and receive messages, so
only them are allowed to draw messaging edges, along with multiple and
signal events since we added BPMN 1.1 support.

Thanks,

Antoine

Antoine, you are right. I forgot add that I think about message events ;)
Thanks for help and information that I can find this support in BPMN 1.1.

BTW. Is it possible download BPMN 1.1 from somewhere because I didn't saw
it anywhere?

Thanks,
Sara

Sara, just go grab the latest build. BPMN 1.1 is on by default.

If you want the BPMN 1.1 specification from the OMG, just go and get it
here:
http://www.omg.org/spec/BPMN/1.1/

Thanks,

Antoine
