"Change Parent" for a shell - to manage dialogs [message #613399] Fri, 23 June 2006 07:11
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello all,

I am a newbie and might be missing something:

I have 2 visual classes (created with the VE wizard).

The first is the main window, includes a shell and a "main" method. It runs
nicely.

The second is supposed to be a dialog, with a shell but no "main" method.

When I right-click the second class, and choose "Change Parent" (in order to
declare the main shell as the parent) the list includes only the value
"none". Why is that ? What is the "best practice" for establishing a
"dialog" behavior between 2 visual classes ?

Thank you !

Elad
