I'm going to take a look at implementing another persistence format, just
to familiarize myself with the process and possibly for a tutorial if everything
goes well. Since XSWT seems to be in much demand and pretty well formed
from my perspective I thought it would be the ideal target format. I'm looking
for some pointers on where to start.

Do I start by registering my own custom decoders for each component for the
BDM model ? Is there a whole layer I can replace to do this or do I need
to do it on a component by component basis ? Is there a set of packages
I can look at for swt, and a set for swing decoding where the code is centralized
? I'm assuming the codegen packages are what I'm looking for, but I don't
know if that is all the code I should be looking at. There is also the issue
of integration - I'm a little wary of extending JavaVisualEditorPart directly
to shoehorn my own xml editor part into the mix.

thanks for any pointers,

Dylan
