WAKE UP CALL!!!
Esteemed colleagues.
Short story, engineers have no useful concept at how to generate
"training" short of knocking up a few slides.
If you are truly looking at traing material then go look at the open
source e-learing tools out there to get a grip on mature technologies for
provision of training.
Come on people.
Choose a learning managment system: say Moodle or ATutor or OLAT
Choose a content authoring tool: eXe or CourseLab
Choose a content exchange standard: SCORM or IMS (or both)
Understand that there are other pedagological approaches from the
education sector.
Oh, and speak to your EPF colleagues about export of SCORM/IMS ready
material from EPF. The WILO people are orchestrating EPF process models,
why not fit EPF for direct export into an e-Learning environment for
training development via SCORM or IMS?
Cheers,
AD
