On what is the activation of the visual editor based?

I had created some classes with the 'new visual class' wizard and
everything worked fine.
Then I decided to restructure my directories a little bit and now the java
files just show up in the normal editor.

Is there a way to get the visual editor up for these files again?

I am using Eclipse 3.0.1 and the VE 1.0.2

Any ideas?
