user defined order in task list? [message #61426] |

I would like to be able to sort the second layer of a categorized task
list in some arbitrary (i.e. userdefinable) order. Is that possible?
Right now - if one hasn't assigned tasks different priority - the order
in which they are listed, is apparently the order in which those tasks
were created. I would find it nicer, if I could reorder the list, so it
could be more like a step-by-step to do list.

Yes, but this sort order is global. Using the Task view drop down menu you can select sorting and
then specify a primary and a secondary sort order. 3 sort options are provided:
1. Creation date
2. Priority
3. Name
You can choose a combination of 2 of them as mentioned.

I agree that it would be nice to have a query specific sort order, ie to define the sorting by query
or even arrange the items freely.
I suggest to post one or more bugs with severity enhancement if you need more features.
