Hi all,

I am having a very frustrating time getting software updates to work for
my product. I wonder if anyone can help me?

1. To get software updates to work I need to use a feature based
product, correct? With a plug-in based product I got the old software
updates UI and the error message 'configuration does not contain the
platform' (or something like that).

2. I need to generate p2 metadata, correct? This means checking the
'generate metadata repository' checkbox. But what am I supposed to do
then to get a working product with my feature and software updates
working? My feature is not part of the Eclipse installation launched
when the executable is launched, and the software updates page shown
does not allow me to add new sites (that part of the UI is missing for
some strange reason.

I have asked questions relating to this on a number of different
newsgroups in the last few days with no responses. Can someone please
help, this is a long outstanding issue with my product, and I really
need to get it fixed.

Thanks in advance...

Matt D.
