After determining that VE does not yet work with 3.1M6 I decided to try it
on 3.0.2. So I used the update manager to update my main eclipse and EMF
plug-ins. Then I used the update manager to get VE 1.0.1. I can create a
visual class and I can say I want it to be an SWT Application. It creates
a new class for me and opens the visual editor but the only widgets I am
able to add from the palette are Swing and AWT which as you might imaging
do not work all that well. When I run I get a blank shell window like I
would expect given I have not added any controls.

What do I need to do to get the ability to add SWT widgets to my visual
class?

I am using the following versions:
Eclipse: 3.0.2 200503110845
EMF: 2.0.1.M200409081700
GEF: 3.0 200408311615
VE: 1.0.1 200409191449

On Windows XP sp2

Thanks,

Ian

BTW the visual editor will allow me to add Swing frames and controls and
it generates code that compiles but has no effect when the SWT shell is
launched.
