Regenerate gmfmap? [message #60583] Mon, 09 October 2006 06:29 Go to next message

Het,

I've made changes to my gmfgraph, just want to use an elipse instead of a
rectangel, model validates fine.

How do I regenerate my gmfmap to include the changes?

Cheers

You do not have to regenerate the map. Just save the graph file when there
are no unsaved changes in the map, and the map will be updated
automatically. But you have to regenerate the gmfgen (by rightclicking the
map) and - of course - the diagram editor.

Thought that was supposed to happen, but the updates didn't seem to be
registering.

Deleted both the gmfmap and gmfgen files and regenerated them both.

If I update the gmfmap within the gmfmap file will these changees also
update the original file?

Hi,

regenerating gmfgen doesn't always do all updates, its better to delete
gmfgen first.
Gmfmap needs no update, because there you have only a reference to a
Diagram Node. when generating gmfgen the figureclass that belongs to
this diagram node is generated and regenerating gmfgen doesn't update
this code.
