Greetings,

Release '0' of the web-based translation tool is now ready. It's still
and early release and there is still work to be done, but you can now
begin translating strings.

http://babel.eclipse.org/

All you need is a Bugzilla account. Please file bugs and enhancements
using Bugzilla (links on the translation tool pages).

Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen; particularly to Bjorn
for the export code.

Denis on behalf of the Babel team.

Hi,

Just tried and some observations:

1. Entering an & doesn't work and the value afterwards are swallowed
2. When making an Error and you try to redit the value it vanishes

Thanks for the feedback, Tom. Your best bet is to file bugs -- it'll be
easier for us to track what needs to be done. I know there's an open
bug for the ampersand, but I didn't see one for the error.

How can I use that tool? I'd like to provide help in translating Eclipse
to italian language, but I'm a newbye here and really don't know how to
get started.
Are there any faqs/tutorials/howtos and simlars? There's a lack of help
pages...
(perhaps 'man babel' would help? xD)

Just log into http://babel.eclipse.org/ choose Italian, the Eclipse
project 3.4 and then pick files in the list. The list of strings, with
their translations, will appear below. Pick a string, then translate
it, and move on to the next.

Thanks for getting involved!

Good evening,
This tool seems to be awesome.
Do you share the coe of this tool ?
I would like to run it on my Git : /AmauryVanEspen/archi-fr/

As you can see, my tree.txt and tree.xls files are usefull but not really efficient.

Thank you for your kind collaboration.

I'm discussing with Phil Beauvoir (Archi Master) in order to submit his project to the Eclipse.Babel community project.

The Babel server code is here:
https://git.eclipse.org/c/babel/server.git/

The git clone links are at the bottom of that page.
