How to link Method Content to CMMi practices ? [message #589887] Thu, 10 July 2008 08:59
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello all,

I am pretty new to EPF.
I would like to represent a Software Developpment Process, and I think EPF
Composer is the appropriate tool for doing this.

However this process is CMMi compliant. I would like to be able to link
tasks or activities, and Work Products, to CMMi practices they implement.

In my opinion, the best way to do that is representing CMMi model
practices in EPF Composer (as a plugin, or maybe a content package). But I
am wondering on what kind of elements is better for practices.
The elements I would like to model are Specific Goals, Specific Practices,
Generic Goals and Generic Practices ; packaged by Process Area, or
something like that.
I am not sure of what method content types I should use. I have had a
first try using Guidance (Practices) for Specific Practices but it is not
a so good idea.

Does anyone of you have an idea or a suggestion ?

Thank you,
Regards,

A.D.
