Today I happened to notice the popular plugin Eclipse SQL Explorer.

It appears to have many of the same capabilities as this project.

My boss had heard that some SQL plugin was going to be merged into the Data
Tools Platform - perhaps he was referring to the rdb plugin from the Web
Tools Project instead?

Can anyone speak to the similarities or differences between the two
projects - or why there are two projects instead of one? I have asked them
this same question.

Ultimately, I must select one plugin to extend. I am trying to develop a
plugin to select database meta data (tables, views, columns, and stored
procedures) and export it in some form.

Thanks,
Chuck
