Access Violation from Tomcat [message #59033] Wed, 29 December 2004 11:50 Go to next message

Getting an access violation when I'm starting and stopping Tomcat on OS
X. It looks like Tomcat is just trying to write out the sessions into
a file.

Before upgrading, I couldn't even get to the wizard to install Tomcat,
so this is great progress. Sure there is a simple solution to this
problem. Eclipse is being started from the same OS X user account that I
use at the command line to start Tomcat, so not sure why this problem.

Thanks.

Got this working. The usual combination of primate guffaws, and required
adaptations that were missed. For some reason, I had to go add the
context mapping to the server.xml file (I thought that, like sysdeo, the
plugin would do that). I was following the tutorial, which is really
good. Hope more of them are going to be done in the future. Meantime, it
is nice to have Tomcat working inside Eclipse on OS X.
