How to specify "categories" for products? [message #59005] |

The p2 update/installation UI (in 3.5M6) has an option (enabled by
default) to group installable items by "category". How do I specify a
category for my product when building it? Without a category, the product
doesn't appear unless "group items by category" is unchecked!

Just tried it... The problem is it works only with features, but all I
have a plug-in based product :-(

In Eclipse 3.5 M7 (due this Friday), there is a new category definition
editor in PDE and when you export a feature, you can choose a category
definition. I believe there's a way to invoke it in a headless fashion too.
You really like living on the bleeding edge eh ;)?
