Unable to import devices from j2me sdk3 [message #579916] Thu, 15 April 2010 03:56 Go to next message

Hi,

I have Eclipse 3.5.2 and have installed MTJ 1.0.1 through the update site.
I have installed Java ME SDK3

when going to Preferences -> Java ME and device managment. I go to Import, write C:\Java_ME_platform_SDK_3.0\ and click Refresh.
It then scans through that folder, but no devices are listed.
No error messages, just an empty list.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanx for any assisstance!

Try selecting C:\Java_ME_platform_SDK_3.0\bin. it worked for me

since this SDK does not follows the usual UEI folder structure, the MTJ code might get lost trying to find the devices. this bin folder is the one that has the emulator executable file that will be used to query the devices

:)

Thanx for the tip.

I actually found out that my particular problem was that I had installed 64bits version of java.
After uninstalling them and reinstalling MTJ things worked out fine. (:=
