Eclipse Voice Tools Development Call Minutes

December 8, 2005, 11am EST

Attendees:

Brent Metz, IBM
Jeff Pedigo, SandCherry
Mike Greenawalt, TellMe Networks
Andrew Wahbe, VoiceGenie

The call began with a discussion of the status of the projecs. It was noted
that a copy of the code to be donated to
the Voice Tools Project was given to the Eclipse Foundation's lawyer to
review. It was noted that this process should
only take a week or two since it is an EPL submission but could potentially
hold up the next milestone. The
milestone was said to be otherwise near completion.

The status of the project's progress through the eclipse development
processes was outlined. A plan was discussed to
meet with the Web Tools PMC and obtain their support ahead of a Technology
PMC release review for a first release of
the VTP.

A question was raised regarding the ability to continue evolving a
submission past being given to the Eclipse
Foundation's lawyer for review. It was taken as an issue to follow up on.

The call ended with discussion of the status of the transition of the XML
editors from the WTP 0.7 release to WTP 1.0.
It was noted that this work will not make the next milestone but will be
available for the release candidate. A caller
mentioned their team had performed the work recently and offered to provide
advice.
