Is it possible to use PDT solely with PHP's CLI executable (I'm using
WinXP) instead of having to install a web server>

Yes. You may debug scripts within running web servers or debug/run cli
scripts.

Since it appears that this outputs raw text to the console and not the
Browser Output or Internal Web Browser views, it looks like I'm going to
have to try to figure out how to use the Eclipse WST Preview Server. Ah,
well....

The reason you get raw text may be that you configured the php-cli.exe
as the PHP executable in the PDT configuration. You can try to select
the no CLI version of PHP executable to obtain response in the browser
output.

Anyway, I think that you don't would find troubles installing a web
server in WinXP, there are alot of packages that makes installation of
Apache+PHP be an easy job. One example is easyphp, that you can find in
http://www.easyphp.org.

Hi,

I'm using PDT + ZendDebugger with XAMPP and it works quite well. For
configuring ZendDebugger see:
