i am studying aspectj for about a week now. the idea is fascinating
and the possibilities using aspect oriented-programming seem to be
tremendous.
i have tried the eclipse plugin for aspectj. integrating the aspectj
language inside the IDE seems to be the right approach. i also
appreciate that eclipse itself is providing a plugin instead of
leaving this to the aspectj team.
however i am a bit worried that the depth of integration will be to
shallow if aspectj is not part of the main eclipse project plan.
i am especially concerned about th compiler integration. right now the
aspectj plugin doesn't support incremental builds, the
outline view is not updated automatically etc pp.
so i was wondering if there are plans to integrate aspectj seamlessly
into eclipse and make aspectj a first class citizen in eclipse.
