[QVT-R] Specifications [message #552976] Sun, 15 August 2010 10:14 Go to next message

In the OMG specifications available in the following url :http://www.omg.org/spec/QVT/1.1/Beta2/PDF

Concerning the example "UML to RDBMS", from page 164 to 171. There are both textual syntax and graphical syntax. But for the graphical syntax there is no figure for the relation "AttributeToColumn". I wanted to now if it should be there or I didn't understand some thing. Somebody can help me please? Any idea?

With regards,
Bler

Hi Bler

Thanks for pointing me at those diagrams; I'd never looked at them. They
make more sense than the overview in Section 7, but reassure me that
UMLX is much better.

The QVTr graphical syntax is incomplete; there is no when/where
invocation mechanism - they must be entered textually in a box at the
bottom.

Since AttributeToColumn is just a dispatcher, its graphics would
comprise just text, so I guess that's why it's 'missing'.

Regards

Ed Willink
