P2 enabled RCP app: Updating doesn't update features/plugins [message #552632]

Hi folks,

it seems I'm missing something with p2...

I have a small p2-enabled Eclipse 3.6 RCP app that consists of a bunch of features and plugins, all at version 1.0.0.

Now I change one of the features and one of its contained plugins to 1.0.1 and publish the update site.

Calling the update function from a 1.0.0 app, it finds the update as expected. Everything works as expected and the wizard guides me through the install.

After the restart however, the about dialog still lists everything as version 1.0.0. Also, the 1.0.1 feature/plugin are nowhere to be found in the features/plugins directory of the app.

Can anyone provide insights why this is happening?!
