Hello,
I'm not quite sure if this is the correct forum to post, sorry if it's not.
My problem is the following : my RCP app actually uses GEF, with raster images (png or jpeg).
I'm trying to display SVG instead, since I need a zoom without loosing quality, or at least not too much.
I used the experimental GMF framework to replace my Figure object with SVGFigure, and it works fine, but used memory reported by visualVM (jdk 1.6 u20) is really huge : after loading 2 complex pictures (the corresponding SVG files are 5MB each), my memory tops at 380MB (though when I'm looking at the profiler or TPTP, I don't see thath much used, about 50-70MB).
My question is : why such a difference ? should I worry about what visualVM says ? Which one of these values are wrong ?
Thank you
Aurélien
