Possibility of embedding WTP XML Editor in a web app [message #549022] |

All,
We have a web application that has some heavy lifting XML processing. We have a "simple plain text box" (coming from legacy) for the xml editing and users came to a threshold now.
I am investigating if i could reuse and embed the WTP's XML editor into this web application.
Here are my thoughts...
# I did few demos on single sourcing with RCP, RAP and eRCP. From that, i would imagine, RAP may work. But i am not sure if RAP has support for the XML Editor from WTP (?)
I am not sure if WTP itself has a mechanism and facility that i could use to embed the editor in to Web app. I don't mind to include some of the Eclipse runtime stuff (may be WTP/RAP) into my app (and honor the license). But i would like to know if this is a plausibility ?
Any ideas and suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Krishna

This falls under the category of things we've never explored at all.
Our main aim is for use within the IDE, and while I've seen efforts to
make the editor usable in RCP scenarios, not much of that has been
contributed back.
