I am having problems getting menu contributions to be shown: they will not be shown once their visibleWhen expression should match.

Just add a menu contribution to the main coolbar and make its visibleWhen observe something that changes (e.g. active part id)...

Can someone confirm this behavior?

could you please verify that your scenario works in RCP and open a bug
with a small RAP application to show the problem? Which RAP version are
you using? Thanks!

I am using CVS head...

If I remove the visibleWhen expressions, the menu contributions show up in the main.toolbar.
Unfortunately, this does not seem to be reproducable outside my rap application...
