Hi,

When I try to create a Profiling Configuration, the Monitor Tab display a red cross and the progress meter is stuck at 16% saying "fetching children of data collector".

I've downloaded the standalone Agent Controller here :

Environment is :
Windows XP SP3
Eclipse Helios - Build id: 20100617-1415
TPTP Platform 4.7.0v20100503211

I run SetConfig.bat, then try to launch ACServer.exe but it crashed. Below the servicelog.log :

Hi Julien,

Based on the 'Error: unable to create the server socket.' call in the log file, my guess is that there is an existing agent controller running when you try to run the standalone one. Its likely the Integrated Agent Controller (IAC) is already running; it starts automatically when you try to use profiling/test functionality in Eclipse.

So my recommendation is to close any running Eclipse processes, and then look for and kill any ACServer.exe, RAServer.EXE, ACWinService.exe processes, and then try to start the standalone agent controller.

Hopefully you should have better luck once the above is done.

Hi Jonathan,

Eclipse is shut down, no ACServer, RAServer, RAService or WinACService running, but thanks for pointing out my stupidity anyway : after a netscan, ports 10003, 10005 and 10006 aren't open. Right now, I don't have administrator privileges on this computer, I'll praise the diligency of the technical support of my company.
