Is anyone using P2 to install and update "libraries" other than Java?

We have an extensive Eclipse based development environment for the Curl platform. Our users need a repository from which they can install various "libraries", get updates, etc. A library in this case is either a binary file that their Curl projects can "refer" to (in a Curl way and not important to this discussion) and/or an Eclipse project of Curl nature.

I just want to know if anyone is doing this and their experience. I know it is doable.
