Hi,

I saw in that some "recent" releases of EMF Compare have been available:

- 1.1.0RC2 (S201005250801)
- I201005260355 (1.1.0.I201005260355)
- 1.1.0RC3 (S201006010959)
- 1.1.0 (R201006080413)
- 1.1.0 (R201006150400)

I could not find any release announcement or any comment about the
features / bug fixes / improvements of these ones. I tried to find it
both in the Wiki and the Newsgroup, but no progress. :(
Still, I follow this RSS feed -
http://model-driven-blogging.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/defaul t?alt=rss -
and I could see that there were some performance improvements (nice
work!), but that's all...

But the questions are:
1. Where can I find a more detailed information about each build/release?
2. Is there any API breaking change in the last release? - consider that
I am (still) using 1.1.0 (201003161046). I just wanted to be sure of
what evolved from my current version to the last one(s)... :)

Thanks in advance. Sorry if I'm missing something...

All the best,

Hi Marcelo,

We haven't made a more detailled new and noteworthy about this release
since, truth be told, this version mainly sports performance
improvements (though it improves by a lot), fixes for the most major
bugs and improvements of the "resource set-wide" matching.

As long as we do not switch to a "2.0" version, you can assume that we
maintain the API compatibility. And even with a major version upgrade,
we'll always have a full major version of "deprecation phase" before we
break anything. I wrote this page about the API policy of Acceleo, we
apply the same to EMF Compare even though I haven't yet copied the page
on the Compare wiki : http://wiki.eclipse.org/Acceleo/API_Policy .
