Hello,

i have included the ECF perspective in my RCP. Its works great, but my contactlist is not sorted. Is it possible to sort the contacts by name?

best regards
malte

Hi Malte,

With the current implementation (ECF 3.3/Helios), the contact list is
not sorted.

It would be a technically easy addition to make, however...and if you
would like to do it yourself (and perhaps contribute it back to ECF
project) it would be most appreciated.

You might want to propose this as an enhancement. To do so, open a
bug/enhancement here:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=ECF

Also, you can/could rally implementation support among the existing
committers and community via the ecf-dev mailing list (here to join:
https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/ecf-dev

And, in case you are able/willing to work with the code yourself to make
the enhancement, the relevant class for this is in this project

org.eclipse.ecf.presence.ui
In this class: org.eclipse.ecf.presence.ui.MultiRosterView

The original author of this code was Remy Suen, an ECF committer who
regularly reads the ecf-dev mailing list, but does not regularly read
this newsgroup. If you made a post to the ecf-dev mailing list you
might be able to enlist his involvement/help in adding this feature.

Thanks,

Scott
