Large diagram layout hangs the GUI [message #538243]

I know animation is the only way to handle smooth layout changes without hanging the GUI,

But animation too hangs when the diagram size is huge,
1000+ nodes....

Is there any other way in which we layout the diagram first and then show it to user????
