Buckminster questions about build practices [message #536013] Wed, 26 May 2010 12:01 Go to next message

I got a simple build working with Buckminster with a plain RCP app.

Now my app has grown and I am using some 3rd party JARs that I have turned
into OSGi bundles. These are, at the moment, living as directories in my
target platform.

My goal is to do a one-click materialize into Eclipse.

I have tried bundling all these external JARs into a feature. Then I did an
Export -> Deployable Features. I end up with either a directory or a ZIP
file.

How do I then use this in a Buckminster RMAP (e.g readerType eclipse-import)
?

Is there any way Buckminster can materialize these JARs into a target
platform ?

Many thanks

Greg

Yes, buckminster can materialize to a target platform. What most do is
to publish the binary bundles to a p2 repo and use buckminster's p2
materializer to get them into the tp.
