OCL statement in mapping to prevent node creation [message #535719] Tue, 25 May 2010 11:51

Hey,

I tried to use OCL statements in the mapping to prevent users creating
nodes if the statements evaluate to false. The intention was to hinder
the user to create invalid models, as in the ecore file there are
further OCL statements. However it only toggles the visabillity of the
nodes thus not only generating an invalid model but further conceal the
reason to users who won't check their model in tree view.

Missed I something? As far as I remember one could prevent link creation
with OCL statements. Why not node creation? Or is the only possible way
using edit helper?

Many thanks in advance,
Christian
