Eclipse 2.1.1 is listed as a "maintenance build". However, this term is not
defined on the page "Eclipse Project Build Types". It is not listed under
"Latest Releases" nor can it be retrieved using the "Install/Update
Perspective". Should I consider this build equivalent to a "release build"
or a "stable build" or something else?

I think I can answer my own question now after seeing the many versions of
this maintenance build and the many test failures. So I conclude that 2.1.1
is *not* a stable build at all.
