Hello,

I have problem with jar signing for Teneo/Hibernate. It has been
discussed here and I tried to install 1.1.1 RC4b manually by unpacking the
emf-teneo-SDK-1.1.1RC4b.zip archive into my Eclipse installation (Galileo
for EE RC1). When I go to Help/About Eclipse/Installation details I still
see the old version (EMF Teneo Hibernate SDK 1.1.1.v200909151729) on the
Installed Software tab. I can't see it on Features tab, although "EMF
Teneo EclipseLink Plug-in" is there. The Plug-ins page does not list any
plug-in with the RC4b version (1.1.1.v200909220159). Maybe there are some
unresolved dependencies, but the RC4b gives only emf-xsd-SDK-2.5.0 from
R200906151043 which I had installed as well.

I thought that I do something wrong - with the e2 installer dropping jars
into plug-in directory might not work as expected. So I tried to install
EMF via the update manager. I downloaded fresh Galileo for EE developers
(as it is my primary area) added EMF update site
http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/emf/updates/releases/ and Teneo is
there only in v200909151729. Teneo downloads page
( http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/emf/downloads/?project=teneo) lists RC4b
as stable build for 1.1.1 so why it is not on the update site?

I would rather not use maintenance or integration builds and 1.1.2 depends
on EMF 2.6.

What is the correct procedure to get the 1.1.1 Teneo Hibernate working? It
is very frustrating.

Thanks in advance

Hi AlesD,
Unzipping directly in an eclipse directory does not work afaik. You can unzip in the drop ins directory (but don't keep
the zip file there as I had it interfere also). The best way is to install from the update manager.

The general modeling update sites are under discussion (if we want to maintain those or not). Teneo and many other
modeling projects have changed build system and also update site. It is on my to-do list to repair the links in the main
modeling website for Teneo.

The 1.1.2 version should work on EMF 2.5/Eclipse 3.5 also (let me know if it doesn't). The Teneo dependency definition
(on Hibernate and others) has been changed in the 1.1.2 release and there is now a separate update site which you can
use to download all the dependencies.

See this page for info on how to download/install Teneo and its dependencies:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Teneo/Hibernate/Download_and_Install

You should always use maintenance and integration builds :-). Teneo is very much test-driven, meaning that changes are
committed to cvs if there is a testcase that proves that the change works (and all previous testcases pass ofcourse).

Hello Martin,

I configured all sites that the Wiki mentions and installed Teneo
Hibernate with the option "Check all update sites during install to find
required software". It pulled all EMF stuff needed into the blank J2EE
installation.

Seems Teneo/Hibernate is working now - there are still errors in the test
cases, but that is on my side now. :-)

Thank you very much!
