Hello all

I just started with Eclipse PDT Galileo on Mac. I downloaded the PDT all-in-one from zend.com.

I want to use FTP to connect to a rental server to update my website from Eclipse. In the Remote System Explorer perspective, I can find nothing but an option to connect to a Linux machine. No "FTP" or anything else.

How should I proceed now? Also there seems to be no option like Help > Find and Install.... > Search for new features to install from where I can install the plugins. There is this Help > Install New Software... where I have to input the URL of software.

With kind regards
Vikram

I'm not sure if this will help you. I don't know Mac
For Ftp management, I have this url in the
Help > Install New Software

http://download.eclipse.org/dsdp/tm/updates/3.1/

You can install the target manager & RSE (remote system explorer) with FTP, SSH...

This link http://www.eclipse.org/dsdp/tm/ for more details.

Hello there

I installed the RSE/TM plugin from the link you gave me. Now I am able to see the option to create a FTP connection. I was able to create a FTP connection, but the operation to display the contents of root directory timed out. I got this in the console:

Quote:
LIST -a
425 Unable to build data connection: Operation timed out

What could be going wrong?

Thanks and Regards
Vikram
