unable to import project to CVS [message #528295] Mon, 19 April 2010 22:20 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,
I have a home network, I use eclipse, I just got a new version: Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers.

I have been going back and forth trying to get version control happening; My desktop (client) machine is running ubuntu 9.10 64 bit. I installed SVN on the server, and got subersive set up on my linux machine. I could import projects to the repo, but not check them out. Eclipse would automatically file a bug report everytime I tried.

So, I got the new version of Eclipse, and tried to re-install subversive, but now I can't get to the screen to enter a repo location. In the Perspective list, <SVN Repository Exploring> appears in brackets.

So, I decided to ditch SVN and just install CVS, which worked, except now for some projects, when I hit Team, I don't see the "share project" option, only "Apply_Patch".

Anyone have any advice?
thanks,
bp

I resolved this by changing the workspace.
