Hi

We need to profile an application using TPTP on UNIX / Solaris 10.

Since TPTP is very heavy and our Unix servers are overloaded I got an AMD Opterum for running TPTP on Windows.

My idea was to run the new application on Unix and get the TPTP analysis from this Opterum machine but I am facing problems regarding making this "Dexter Lab" to work.

The problem is that TPTP on Unix seems to be dead.
TPTP olny supports Unix until version 4.3.

My lab is described below:
Unix server [ Application running on Unix / Java 6 -> TPTP agent 4.3 -> ]
==>
Opterum [ Windows Vista / Java 6 / TPT 4.6 ]

Any suggestion about how can I get it set up?

Many thanks!
Flavio ViT

Hi Flavio,

The TPTP project does not presently support Java 5/Java 6 profiling on Solaris x86/SPARC systems. It sounds like the profiling you are doing will have to be done on your Windows box.
