eclipse hangs during validation [message #526347]

Frequently eclipse will hang during "classpath validation". Any attempt to cancel, doesn't work. It just sits there as if it's trying to cancel, but nothing happens. I eventually need to go into the task manager and kill the eclipse process.

This is on Vista/64-bit.

Eclipse:
Version: 3.4.2
Build id: M20090211-1700

Any ideas? Should i just turn off validation altogether?
