Hi all experts:
This is probably my last question in the predictable future 50 days ahead.
I just noticed that the RAP project plan for RAP 1.3 had been updated with some proposed features including "Investigate support for GraphicsContext and/or Draw2D" and "Create single-sourced version of Memory Analyzer" added[1].
That's really exciting information for me and I think the same to all other RAPers.
My question is: In which way do you plan to implement these two features? Will you support the first one by graduating the GCCanvas bundle in the incubator or in some way else? will the final solution require a browser plugin such as flash player installed? and will the Memory Analyzer support client-side javascript memory analyzing?
Thanks and Best Regards & Wishes!

If you check out the New and Noteworthy for RAP 1.3 M6 you will see they already implemented bits and peace's for the classes GC and FontMetrics. I don't know if what else there working on the New and Noteworthy for RAP 1.3 M7 is at this moment slowly filling. But yeah its good to see the Dev team making these nice leaps of great inprovments.
hm. I've lost a machine.. literally _lost_. it responds to ping, it works completely, I just can't figure out where in my apartment it is.

Hi Christian,
we are not sure if a "real" GC implementation will make it into the
coming release. Most likely, the GC in RAP will use an approach similar
to the contributed GCCanvas widget (VML in IE, Canvas in other browsers).
The MAT is a tool to analyze Java heap dumps. A single-sourced version
of MAT will let you do just the same in the browser - analyzing Java
heap dump files. There is no support for Javascript memory analyzing.
Best regards,
Ralf

Thx an awfully lot, Ralf~~~
Finally I got the voice from the official team, you know, four days of Easter vocation is really too long for a waiting guy (But perhaps too short for you busy & hard working buddies~~~)
No matter whether or not you can release this feature in the comming releasing day, the proposed plan itself is absolutly the first light before the dawn~~~
So I'll be waiting for this expectable function and your good news~~~
RAP gogogo!
Finally, Could you please consider a little bit about the API
compatibility with the GCCanvas bundle?
Thanks and Best Regards!
