controlling and managing a plugin [message #518088]

I wrote an Editor plugin and was able to run it. Now I need to control and access the events happening in the editor, for example when the usr types or change the context of a file in runtime editor plugin, I can do some special actions behind that.
It would be appreciable if you can lead me or send me any references or trial , toturial online.
