Differences in launchers for 3.4 and 3.5? [message #517748] |

We have some developers who have recently upgraded to 3.5.1 IDE from 3.4, while the majority of our development team continues with 3.4.
One immediate issue that we've noticed is that the Eclispe launchers created in 3.5 are not properly read by the 3.4 IDE. Specifically, on the "plugins" tab, all plugins are shown as unselected in 3.4, while the same launcher file opened in 3.5 shows a proeprly populated list of plugins.
I've inspected the launch files created in both 3.4 and 3.5, and they appear nearly identical to me, with reagrd to the selected workspace plugins. Is there any known issue with using a 3.5 launcher file in a 3.4 workspace, or alternatively, is there any reason to expect that this either should or should not work.
Thanks,
Don

Can't comment on the particular case but compatibility is only provided
from 3.4 to 3.5 and not backwards i.e. if a project uses 3.5 stuff then
this is not supported to work with 3.4.
