Problem in configuring Tomcat5.5 Server [message #516351] Tue, 23 February 2010 11:28
Eclipse UserFriend
I would like to use Eclipse for developing Java web application and java web service.
So I need to install an application server to run jsp.
I have on my pc a virtual machine in which I installed ubuntu server with apache2+tomcat5.5 and it run well.
So I would like to use tomcat5.5 server on virtual machine as Server in my Eclipse environment as the virtual machine is shared on the same network.

So in Eclipse I make: New - Server - Tomcat 5.5 Server - and then set the installation path of Tomcat5.5 on ubuntu server.
But the wizard give this error : The Tomcat installation directory is not valid. It is missing expected file or folder common/i18n

and i can't go on with wizard to add the server.

How can i resolve it ? What's the problem ?
Thanks in advance.
