In the thread http:// www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php?t=msg&goto=514765&# msg_514765 I stated my problems with the support for the JSP Expression Language in WTP. After a few days, tons of tests and reading some other opinions I've come to the conclusion that there many not existing features and plenty on bugs. It is quite surprising for me because as I said in the mentioned thread there were intuitive and well working features for the EL in 2006! But they were not directly from WTP, but from the plugins set called "Nitrox", especially "Workshop JSP Editor". Those days the software was owned by the company M7, then it was bought by BEA and now it belongs to Oracle!

Now the good news: Oracle made if free!

So I ask: why not to integrate it now into the WTP, so it works at last!? If it's all there, since a few years? Oracle takes a part in the eclipse development, doesn't it? So it should be possible.

Now some details:
- The whole old nitrox package is included in the "Oracle Workshop for WebLogic 10.3" http:// www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/bea_main.htm l#devtools, below.
- The same package was split an it is only partially available in the "Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse" http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/oepe/index.html. The most wanted "Workshop JSP Editor" is unfortunatelly not there...

Because I'd need a working JSP I also started writening on the oracle-forums. Here are links for the follow up of the topic:
http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=1029872
http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=1030457 &tstart=0

I hope these points are anough to start a discussion about the integration Workshop->WTP.

Awaiting comments.
