Which is wrong, since "Update" is enabled (and works as expected) on the same file if I go to the "Incoming Mode" or "Incoming/Outgoing Mode".

This is counter intuitive. The file icon has an arrow indicating that is has incoming changes, but the "Update" item is disabled. On the other hand "Override and update..." is enabled.
So either updating is not possible in incoming mode, then (both) update menu should be permanently removed, or it should be enabled when there is data for update.
