Disable automatic workspace build, but compile *.java to default output folder? [message #508900] |

We are 2 ppl using Eclipse for Liferay-ext development. We have each our workspaces, but share the same project files placed on a Windows network folder.
Big problem is time spent when Eclipse is "Building workspace", especially when this occurs on each file saving. Thing wasn't always like that, but somewhere along moving project files from a SAMBA based network folder to a Windows network folder, and replacing one of our PC's with a 64-bit Win7 based (using 64-bit 1.6SDK), this inconvenience started. Both 3.4.x 3.5.1, 3.5.2 and 3.6M4 has been used on the 64-bit windows.
Restarting the Liferay Java VM takes around 1 minute on the fastest machine, and much more on the other machine, so restarting the Liferay VM, should not be done so very often. We really like the feature that compiles *.java files to the default output folder, and that these changes work instantly in the currently running VM. Beforehand this seemed to be the only thing that happened when saving, and this worked like a charm.
Is there anyway to allow for automatically building to default output folder, while automatic build of workspace is disabled?
/Michael
