Hello,

I am trying to get JAWS reads line numbers of a sourceViewer. I have a lineNumberColumn decorated by a composite ruler.
I tried to change the text in the status bar and set the focus to the status bar, but JAWS does not read it!!!!

Any suggestion is appreciated. . .

Thank you

Hello, Mohammed.

I'm not sure if this is helpful, but you can get JAWS to read the status bar
with INS+PageDown.
You do not have to give the status bar focus (it usually dosen't take focus
anyhow).

Hope this helps,
Carolyn

Thank you very much. . . .

That works, but it is only a work-around the problem.

FYI, I tried to pop-up toolTip containing the line number, but JAWS did not read it either.

I will keep trying and update you as soon as I find any solution. .

I appreciate your help Smile
