Navigate history with mouse buttons [message #505751] Mon, 04 January 2010 13:50 Go to next message

Hi All, I bet this is a common question but I haven't found it or an answer.

Basically instead of using Alt+Left/Right to navigate history in eclipse I prefer to use my mouse which has dedicated buttons for this, much like they behave when using a web browser.

Any ideas?

Menu Navigate->Back should work. Toolbar also has the back button.

Ha, nice try.

I mean the dedicated physical navigation buttons found on most mice. If you are unfamiliar, most mice today have two buttons where the thumb rests. Browsers recognize these buttons as navigation buttons, one will navigate backwards, the other forwards. Other applications also recognize these buttons as navigation buttons.

I'd rather not have to move my mouse around to select menus and browse menu items.
