Git integration with EMF Compare [message #501602] Wed, 02 December 2009 22:49 Go to next message

Hi,

I have EGit plugin installed and wanted to use EMF Compare to see the difference between different revisions of my .ecore and .model files. I don't see how to do that from the git history, only from local history. Is this possible?

Thanks,
Ken S

Hi Ken,

Please use the eclipse.technology.emf newsgroup in the future as the Compare
component moved from EMFT to EMF.

I had a test drive with the EGit plugin at the beginning of the year and EMF
Compare was correctly opening when picking to versions in the Git history
and selecting "compare with each others". So yes it is possible and it
should work, if it's no more working then it might be an issue on our side
or on the EGit one and then do not hesitate to open a bugzilla.

Cheers,

Cédric
