printing as TEXT [message #50748] Mon, 11 April 2005 15:06 Go to next message

Hi,

If I just hit print in Eclipse, I get sort of an image that gets
printed, with blue background and stuff. This is way slower than just
printing the text.
Isn't it possible to just print the text (preferably with the boldface
and/or colors still there)?

And it would be nice if I could print linenumbers too.

TIA, H.

Hi,
Try keeping the focus in the editor window. What version of Eclipse do
you use? I tried in Eclipse 3.0.1 and it just printed the text.

Regards,
Siv

I have.

3.0.2

Of course it prints the text, i.e., I don't get a picture of the screen
or anything. But, it also prints a blue background (even with a lighter
blue for the current line), along with the color make-up of comments and
keywords. I'd like to keep this make-up, but get rid of the background
color, as this makes printing a whole lot slower.

TIA, H.

The problem has solved itself now. I suspect this has something to do
with the Windows-background I'm using. The background in Eclipse is
plain white now.
The current line still gets printed in blue, but I could switch that off
by unchecking "highlight current lint" in the Java-editor preferences.

Cheers, H.
