Hi,
now i'm develop an application, and want to use EMF as modelling framework and the resources will be save at jackrabbit repository. and to load on demand the resource i want use CDO, but i see at repository that org.eclipse.emf.cdo.server.file at incubation now, and when i pull it i must refactor the class and till now still confuse to refactor it because i'm still newbie in eclipse technology.

is it the best technology should i use ? or can somebody tell me what should i use for this problem ?

Thanks.

Hi Rencana,

I don't see the relation between the CDO File Store and a JCR
respository like JackRabbit.

Of course CDO is the best technology but it's currently not shipped with
JCR backend support :P

Cheers

Thanks for reply Eike,
what technology should i use to make JCR as a backend ?
should i make own adapter for it ? or is it impossible ?

Thanks,

You could try to develop a JCR-based IStore implementation for your CDO
server. While Vik reported that he did a similar thing for DB4O during
one afternoon I expect an unexperienced CDO user to invest considerably
more effort in a custom store. In addition to your skills it majorly
depends on the concepts and APIs of the particular backend (here
JackRabbit).

Sandro Boehme is developing a direct integration between EMF and JCR
repositories: http://wiki.eclipse.org/JCR_Management

Cheers
