Hello All,

Instead of JDBC ODBC driver can we use Jconnect to connect to Sybase and
further can we use stored procedures as source rather than direct select
from table

Thanks

Yes you can use JConnect or any other Sybase JDBC driver. This is in fact
preferred over the Jdbc-Odbc bridge. For more information about configuring
your own JDBC driver please see the BIRT FAQ pages.

BIRT 1.0 has limited support for stored procedures. You can use a store
procedure if it has only input parameters, and returns exactly one result
set. Just type in the store procedure call in the query pane of the JDBC
data set editor (where you will normally put a SELECT statement). More
comprehensive support for stored procedures are planned for the next
release.
