Hi Timothy,
did you find the thread "GEF with RAP" from April 2009 ?
The folks from Architexa have taken some ideas from our prototype and e4 and have created another one. It adds support for GEF (our's only has draw2d). See here:

In any case both of these approaches are prototypes that require further work. It is up to the community to step up and get involved.
